This studio is located at 106 West Murphy Street on historic downtown Murphy Street, within easy walking distance of everything in Alpine. It is a recovered photography studio and is perfect for romantic weekends, city explorers, or sitting in the backyard and reading or stargazing.

The Studio is quite large, with 2 private front entrances and 1 back door leading out to the back yard. The entire house is all yours: you will have complete privacy! There are two private front entrances and one back door leading to the backyard.

There is a yellow circular dining room table with 4 chairs in the second bedroom with the full size futon and antique Portuguese twin bed. The master king bed is a talalay organic latex and cotton dreamily comfy mattress with silky soft sheets and a light down comforter (nights are chilly in the high desert). There’s a table for 2 by the kitchen in the main room. There’s an additional sidewalk cafe table for 2 outside at the front of the building: great for people watching and ordering delicioso food from the next door Jalapeños Mexican restaurant—they will deliver and give you 10% off the tab!

Art work in studio is by Woody Farris (Fredericksburg), Lizanne Thate (Austin/Fredericksburg), Matt Skinner (Alpine, Colorado Springs), Roger Cutforth (San Miguel/Terlingua), Shiloh Sibley-Cutforth (Austin), Rachel Sibley (Alpine/Austin)& Liz Sibley (mosaics). We have more of their ‘stuff’ at Galeria Sibley.

It is located a ½ block south from the Amtrak station so there is train noise. I provide individually wrapped earplugs for sensitive sleepers.
